Professor Stephen Guest

Professor Stephen Guest is the Principal Advisor of OLC. He provides management consultancy and directive service to the company. He also provides additional supports to the OLC team through his valuable contributions of law articles and papers.

He is the Professor of Legal Philosophy at University College London. He graduated with honours in both Philosophy (1971) and Law (1973) from the University of Otago in New Zealand and taught logic for two years for the Philosophy Department while still an undergraduate before studying with Ronald Dworkin at University College, Oxford. He currently chairs with Dworkin the distinguished and internationally well-known annual Colloquia in Legal and Social Philosophy at UCL. He is also staff editor of the UCL Jurisprudence Review, the annual student law journal he founded in 1994. A barrister and solicitor of the NZ High Court, and barrister of the Inner Temple, he was a tenant at 199 Strand, London, from 1993 to 2005. Significant opinions he wrote were for the defence in the Privy Council of the NZ multiple murder case of Bain (1996) and for the Public Defender in the Pitcairn Island sexual abuse case of Fletcher & Others (2006) at all levels including the Privy Council. He is currently writing a book on law and humanity while on leave as British Academy/Leverhulme Senior Research Fellow for 2006-2007.

Ms Vickie is the Academic director for OLC. She offers her expertise by coaching and guiding the team in the development of learning modules, curriculum development and she also coaches personally in some of the topics. She ensures the quality of the services provided by OLC meets the standards and requirements of Universities to further assist students to achieve outstanding results.

Ms Vickie is currently part of the team in University of London who designs the process for students to demonstrate their legal skills for assessments, policing undergraduate law programmes and also writes materials for student in sourcing and reading research materials.

Her diverse expertise and qualification has let her to promote, lecture and co-ordinate Univertsity of London Law Programmes from Diploma to Masters levels in many countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Bangladesh.

She has many years of lecturing experience and taught on difficult subjects and has produced many top marked students. In her career, she has addressed many institutions such as Hong Kong Poly U, InTech Training Centre, Pte Ltd in Singapore, ATC School of Laws, Winfield, Mentari, KDU and many more.

 

Adrian Choong Ewe Lim

Adrian started his career as a Lecturer in Laws with ATC, teaching the subjects of contract law and private international law before becoming an ICT Law consultant in Jagat ICT Consulting. Adrian now heads the operations of Online Legal Coach and is the founder of e-Essence, a human capital development company and has numerous years of experience taking on management and consultative roles in Coaching, Human capital performances for many companies from the SMIs & SMEs to the Conglomerates.

Brian Law Yew Foo

Essay Marking Expert

Brian Law is one of the OLCs Essay Marking Experts. He graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws and was called to the Bar of England & Wales at the venerable Lincoln's Inn in 2001. Thereafter, he was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2002 and commenced legal practice at the firm of Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co. He began his practice focusing in trademark and copyright protection, especially in the field of enforcement of such rights. He also has extensive experience in general civil litigation.

He left practice in 2003 to join Music Authors' Copyright Protection ("MACP") Bhd and during his tenure in MACP, he was responsible for strategising licensing and enforcement of performing rights for musical works as well as formulation of policies to this end. Besides his enforcement work, he has also been asked to commence lobbying for changes in the Copyright Act 1987 to afford greater protection for musical works in Malaysia.

In year 2004, he left MACP and established his own law firm under the name of Messrs, Law, Raj, Teh & Partners and practice exclusively in the area of intellectual property laws.


 
 
 

Seyne Tee

Seyne Tee provides general supervision and consultancy advice to the day-to-day running of OLC. She is our essay marking expert and she also heads the Essay Marking Department. Her responsibilities includes overseeing the recruitment and monitoring of our Essay Marking team.

She is a qualified lawyer with over six years of experience working in renowned private sector law firms. She specialises in property, general litigation and contract. She graduated with 2:1 honour degree from University of London.
