A compilation of useful articles on Human Rights Act 1998.

1.Does the UK needs a Bill of Rights? --  by rantingkraut

2. "A Bill of Rights: Do We Need One or Do We Already Have One?" (2007). by Klug, Francesca
  • This is an excellent article by Francesca Klug, who is a supporter for the HRA 1998. She raises the discussion whether the HRA 1998 is already a "Bill of Rights" for the UK citizen , by another name?
  • She refers to Professor Alston 's analysis of the three common characteristics of Bill of Rights and concluded that HRA 1998 demonstrated those characteristic to a certain extent.
  • Finally, she asks whether those who advocate for a Bill of Rights would lead to better protection of human rights or whether we could possibly end up wiith less than we have now?
