What are the typical exam questions on statutory interpretation?

Apparently, there's also a high probability that there'll be a problem question on SI for the UoL CLRI exam this year.

you can write your essay for statutory interpretation by MIRAT(Material Facts, Issues, Rules, Arguments/Application, Tentative  Conclusion) or ILAC (Issues, Laws, Application/Arguements, Conclusion).

For the part of the Application/Arguement, u can divide into

Broad  Literal/Narrow Literal, Absurd/Not Absurd, Mischief/Mischief.

For example

In a broad literal sense......

However, in a narrow..

 It would be absurd that....

It would not absurd if.....

It is presuming that this Act is drafted when..........

But......it is presuming that............

The format will let u think critically and in the end forms better answer.

 Hope it helps.^^
